Bucharest -- Curtea de Arges -- Sibiu

Sibiu -- Biertan -- Sighisoara -- Bistrita
Morning departure to Sighisoara - birthplace of prince Vlad Tepes (the Impaler).
In mid-1400s Vlad ruled the historic province of Walachia (Southern Romania).
He is the historical figure who inspired the the novel "Dracula"
whose fictional character, Count Dracula, is quite popular on both sides of the Atlantic.
Stops/ visits:
~ Biertan / the fortified Church.
~ Sighisoara - medieval citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Walking tour and lunch at "House of Dracula" restaurant.
~ Targu Mures, walking tour in the city centre.

Palace of Culture, the Orthodox Church and Teleki-Bolyai Library.
Continue to Bistrita, one of Transylvania's seven walled cities ("Siebenburgen").

Bistrita is the place where Jonathan Harker, Bram Stoker's fictional character,
spent the night before reaching count Dracula's Castle.

and the old narrow-gauge, steam, train "Hutulca".
~ Voronet / Voronet Monastery, also called "the Sistine Chapel of the East"
known world-wide for the unique nuance of blue of its frescoes.
