Arrive Bucharest - Romania
Transfer from Bucharest airport/ train station to your well-located hotel

Day 2  
Bucharest  --  Crit
After breakfast,
travel from Bucharest to Crit - Transylvania,
year-round route:
Bucharest -- Sinaia - Brasov - Rupea -- Crit,
alternative July through October route:
Bucharest  --  TransFagarasan scenic road  --  Agnita  --  Sighișoara  --  Crit
Optional stops/ visits:
~ Curtea de Arges/ Monastery Curtea de Arges,
a stunning place or worship - resting place of Romania's royal family.
~ ruins of Poenari Fortress (a 'must-see' for Dracula Fans).
Walking tour of Sighișoara citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
After visiting Sighișoara, continue to Criț, a charming Saxon village 30 minutes south of Sighisoara.
Dinner and overnight in Criț at "La Hansi" guest house.

Day 3  
Spend one day in rural Transylvania
After breakfast,
explore Criț, a charming Saxon village - home to a beautiful Evangelical church,
surrounded by 25-ft high defending walls.
Criț is fine example of rural Transylvanian-Saxon village planning.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing at "La Hansi"
or
walk or cycle to a Saxon village near Crit:
~ Mesendorf (12 km/ 7.5 miles RT - 2 hours and 30 minutes walk),
~ Cloasterf (16 km/ 10 miles RT - 3 hours and 30 minutes walk),
~ Viscri (25 km / 15.5 miles RT - 5 hours and 15 minutes walk)

Activities in or near Criț:
~ visits to local artisan foods producers (cheese, apple juice, fruit preserve, curred meats),
~ wild mushroom picking / truffle hunting (in season),
~ cooking clases.

Day 5  
Brașov  -- Sinaia  --  Bucharest
After breakfast,
travel from Brasov to Bucharest, via Sinaia.
Stops/ visits:
~ Sinaia / Peles Castle, one of the most spectacular in Europe;
from 1880s to 1947, Peles castle was the summer residence of Romania's Royal family.
Continue to Bucharest.
