     The trip "Count Dracula - legend and history" appeals to the admirers of the prince, known by the title of Vlad III Basarab. He's an absolutely real character who ruled in the middle of the 15th century a small principality called Wallachia, which bordered the Kingdom of Hungary on the north side and the powerful Ottoman Empire on the south. In the novel "Count Dracula", written by the Irish writer Bram Stoker, the ruler mentioned above is the prototype of the vampire Dracula.
     The guide will share with you numerous legends about Dracula, during the tour you will get acquainted with the real places where he was born, acted as a politician and warrior, died and was buried. It is also an informative tour, because in addition to stories about the prince, you will hear a lot of interesting informations about Romania and will watch the everyday's life of this country's citizens.

Day 1   
Bucharest  --  Snagov -- Bran -- Brasov
     In the morning, we will pick you up from your address in Bucharest at 08:00 am and you will take a short walking tour of the historical center of Bucharest, a town mentioned for the first time by Vlad Dracula. During this trip, the guide will show you the ruins of the royal palace, where according to some historians, Vlad was killed. A short ride towards the Snagov monastery, where you will be shown the grave in which, according to the legend, Vlad III Basarab (official title), also known as Vlad Dracula or Vlad the Impaler was buried.
     After this, crossing the Southern Carpathians via Transylvania, the guide will share with you interesting stories from the prince's life. In Bran Castle you will walk through multiple labyrinths, and the guide will tell you how this medieval fortification came to be called Dracula's castle. This day ends with Brasov city tour, where, according to the legend, Vlad Dracula lived for some time and fell in love with a beautiful woman named Katarina Siegel.

Day 2   
Sighisoara  -- Medias -- Sibiu
Breakfast. Check-out. Drive towards Sighisoara along the winding road of hilly Transylvania. During a walk through the medieval streets of Sighisoara town you will see military, civil and religious monuments, the guide will show you in which house Vlad Dracula was born in 1431, will explain what interesting things you can see in the Clock Tower and why one of the houses was called "Venetian". Departure towards Sibiu, on the way stop for a short tour of the city of Medias, where in the summer of 1462 Vlad Dracula was captured and thrown into prison on the orders of the Hungarian king Matthias Corvin. Arrival in Sibiu, an evening walk through the old part of this colorful city, where in addition to numerous monuments, you will be shown the Lutheran Cathedral, near which the Dracula's son, known as Mihnea the Evil, was assassinated.

Day 3   
Poienari castle -- Curtea de Arges Monastery -- Targoviste
Breakfast. Check-out. Crossing the Southern Carpathians through the picturesque Olt river valley. On our way we will make a photo-stop in front of the ruins of Poienari castle, which in the legends is related to the famous prince. On our route a short visit is scheduled at the Monastery Curtea de Argeș, a stunning place of worship - resting place of Romania's royal family. After a short journey, we will stop in the town of Targovishte, the former capital of the principality of Wallachia. We will walk around the Princely Court complex, where you will climb the Sunset Tower, built at the behest of Dracula. You will appreciate the beautifully preserved frescoes of the prince's church and go down to the cellars of the palaces in which the prince tortured his victims. We finish the tour with a visit to the Dealu Monastery, where Dracula's father and his older brother Nikolae, who died as a result of the nobles rebellion, were buried. Return to Bucharest.
